    MIFF

    Split Screen Film Competition

    Summary

Launched in 2018 by the TAC and TABOO, Split Second Film Competition challenges young Victorians to submit a concept for a road safety film that doubles as the ‘turn your phone off’ message at the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF). Each year, one winning script is given 50k funding, produced by TABOO and a leading production house and aired in front of Australia’s film luminaries, before every MIFF screening.

The final films were so well received, they are now running in Village cinemas across the country.
