That time we saved an endangered country pub by making it go viral.
In 2015 The Tatura Hotel was mid-renovation, out of budget and in need of a helping hand. Our twist on crowdfunding was to turn The Tatura Hotel into “The Internet’s Pub” and name parts of it after donors. The pub and its owner, “Bugs Ryan,” became an international internet sensation getting picked up by The Project, The London Mirror, The Guardian, Woman’s Weekly and making the front pages of both of reddit.com and The Herald Sun. The pub is now a tourist attraction and having its best year ever. Please drop in for a beer with Bugs when you’re next traveling through.
We saved a pub and generated a wincingly high amount of earned media which would make most brand managers gush.
