Connecting footy stars to Aussie fans

Summary

In a world-first promotion using Instagram Live, we gave fans from all around Australia the chance to connect with AFL and NRL stars via a competition that asked them to guess the faces of football stars for their chance to win Grand Final tickets. Hosted by the biggest names in the AFL and NRL, the game was played in real time using a split screen, giving fans unprecedented access to their heroes.

Results

The campaign set new records for engagement and performance across player, Telstra’s and partnership channels, and has since become a key case study by Facebook for Instagram best practice.
