Nab – Happy Tappers

Brief

When launching NAB’s new Tap and Pay technology for Android, we knew customers needed some serious help getting over the perceived security risks and app download barriers. Thus, Happy Tappers was born: a travelling pop-up shop where NAB customers could access comically cheap deals on Australia’s most sought after brands. NAB customers were able to use their Tap and Pay app as currency and be coached through the process by NAB tech teams.

Effect

Happy Tappers reached 1.5m people across one week, engaging 10,400 NAB customers, which accounted for 33% of the total Android users in Sydney and Melbourne.

NAB Tap and Pay became one of the Google Play store’s top three apps raising NAB cards signings by 84%.
